    Policy and adoption

    We discussed why diverting biowaste from landfill matters for methane reduction and circularity, and how policies such as extended producer responsibility for food (food EPR) can accelerate adoption of biological treatment.

    Methane Bankability

    Carbon finance and project funding

    We explored how a new category of biowaste methane credits fits within the super-pollutant credit market and how carbon finance and blended finance can help fund composting, anaerobic digestion, and black soldier fly treatment projects.

    Biowaste Roadmap: COP31 Proposal and Implementation

    From COP30 progress to practical implementation

    Carrot presented progress since the roadmap's introduction at COP30, including the credit stack, digital rails, and a project case. Together, these form a practical proposal for implementation to be presented at COP31.

Buyers, funders, policy-makers and institutions spent the morning at Bryant Park Loft in one conversation: why biowaste belongs out of landfill, how a new category of methane credits gets financed, and the Biowaste Roadmap Carrot is carrying to COP31. In the same week, the Climate Curve Prize named Carrot Foundation a 2026 Winner in the Finance Category.
